Goran Qvarfordt, a Swede, own and manage the "The Manta Dive Center". They run a very organized dive center with ten (10) staff members, with both international and local expertise.

Goran has 13,000 hours worldwide diving experience, with about 6,000 hours in Tobago, and six (6) years commercial diving experience on the oil rigs in the North Sea. Goran left his homeland in a sailing boat that he built himself, and planned to sail around the world. After sailing the Caribbean and Venezuela and diving all over this area, Goran found that Trinidad and Tobago had everything to his taste; the best diving, kind and nice people, inexpensive living and natural beauty. He dropped his anchor in Tobago! About 15 years ago they opened the dive center, which has become the most famous dive center in Tobago. Besides taking out the more advanced dives and captaining the big dive boat, you will usually find Goran fixing things around the different dive centers, his favourite past time after diving and fishing these days is sailing a hobie cat with his daughter, Johanna.
